As a psychologist, I have been waiting for a book that I could recommend to my adolescent clients about relationships that would hit home for them. This book is it!!! The authors have really put together a guide that anyone would benefit from, and it is so helpful for young ladies of all ages. I am very happy to have read it and ordered 10 copies just to give to my clients. It is terrific!

With so much pressure put on assessing a mate it’s hard to know who to listen to. The authors of “He’s Got Potential” are experts in their field. They write in the same tone you use to speak to your girlfriends in on these very topics. Their trustworthy guidelines on finding the right mate are both helpful and insightful. You’ll find the stereotypes endlessly amusing, the questions thought-provoking and the scenarios very easy to relate to. You’ll get a laugh out of how well they’ve captured the various types of men, while at the same time gaining some wisdom on the fine art of finding a man. And, if you’ve got one you aren’t sure about it, this book will certainly help you figure out if he’s a keeper. I’ve already gifted three copies!

This book is full of some really great advice. Everything the authors discuss is totally accurate, and really applies to the way my friends and I act when we’re dating guys with certain habits we’re not really into. Especially because it’s hard to know how possible it is to change the way someone acts or aspects of their personality. It’s nice to know other women out there are thinking the same things. I’ve dealt with the “cheapskate,” the “liar” and the “couch potato,” and thanks to this book now I’ll be able to tell whether or not my will to change a guy is far fetched or right on the money. I’m definitely going to be sharing this with all of my friends!

I feel like when Valentine’s Day rolls around relationships wind up under even more scrutiny than they usually are. Usually around this time of year people wind up taking their relationship to the next level (even if they shouldn’t)or breaking it off (even if they shouldn’t!).

It’s super easy to lose perspective on how things are really going with a BF, and “He’s Got Potential” really helps you get it back. Sometimes we get so caught up in the romantic side of things we just don’t see some of the red flags that wind up hurting us later, or we get bogged down worrying about all sorts of things we want our guy to change that we forget to enjoy all his good qualities. This book really helps sort through so many issues like these, but in way that is so accessible and easy to understand. And funny! I mean, with this type of sensitive, personal stuff, I really don’t want to feel like I’m under attack or made to feel stupid for not knowing things – and this book has the perfect combination of a TON of information (that I can actually use!) and a supportive, witty and understanding tone that kind of feels like I’m getting advice from my best friend.

So all in all, I definitely recommend it – it’s an enjoyable read and really gives you a whole new way to understand some things about relationships that we so easily overlook, ignore or don’t think apply to us.

  5. This book has got something for every woman. While this book is geared to women who have a tendency to take on relationships which have a few too many kinks or women who like fixer-upper boyfriends, you will learn atleast 5 things to make your relationship better, even if it’s going well.

Great advice on when to just walk away and how to weather the storm of the breakup, on your terms, if need be. Even if you’re not looking for advice, you’ll laugh out loud about those bad boyfriends from the past and say “thank god I left.” And avoid it in the future!
