I am dating a Dominican man (he’s 28 and I’m 23) and he is so good to me and shows how much he wants a life with me everyday. BUT my parents and their latin friends keep saying to be careful with him because dominican guys are such cheats. I want to trust him and I when I tell him about this he says he wouldn’t do that to me and how he wants just me but I still feel like I need more reassurance. I don’t want to nag him about it but it is in my mind a lot mainly because he is Dominican.
He loves that I am Persian and that I am from a culture with very loyal woman. He is 100% reassured about me but I want to feel the same way about him without keep bringing it up.
What are your expiriences with Dominican/Spanish guys? Any advice would be appreciated~

Kim is right. It’s not about ethnicity or race. I think it’s about maturity and finding the right person. I have friends of all races and some are/were cheaters and some aren’t. My family is Cuban. I used to cheat a lot, but as soon as I found the right girl, I quit cold turkey. It’s been more than 3 years and I haven’t even been tempted!
I’m hispanic and I’ve only dated hispanic guys my whole life. Some guys are cheaters, some guys aren’t. Doesn’t matter what race they are. Depends if they have morals or not.
My aunt was having the same problem. (I’m her neice.) And my parents didn’t like who she was dating. But he proposed to her and she said yes. They have now been happily married for 6yrs and have 5kids. And they are very well off. They are such in love. So, don’t listen to anyone but your judgement and your heart. You will be able to tell if he’s truthful and honest. Don’t let your family’s steriotype stand in the way of your love and happiness.
U should not let anybody tell u, people r different from each other, each race has a different reputation. I am Mexican & mexican man r said to be drunks, that does not mean that they all r or that they r the only race that actually drinks. Steryotypes r hurting for a lot of people, u should love him & trust him for who he is as a person, not by his race. My best friend, he is dominican and he is the sweetest person in the world he has a beutiful girlfriend and he is the most loyal man i’ve ever met in my life.
